Arthur Porter
Arthur, a two-time State Fair Blue-ribbon winner for his leather designs, has been interested in sewing since he was 16 but did not pursue it until he felt the call to leave his career in AV/photography in 2005. After his class with Carla he taught himself to sew and create leather accessories such and belts, handbags and chaps. It was when he was member of a fashion design organization that he found out about a unique opportunity to have a studio in SSOL (formerly the Sears building) Arthur had a vision about a large umbrella that had lots of businesses that were under it and Dallas Designing Dreams was born.

Carla A. Robertson is a Master Seamstress and an inspiring Sewing Instructor dedicated to empowering her students through creativity and skill development. With her passion for sewing, she aims to help individuals improve their skills, boost their income, and enhance their. Offering sewing classes both locally and internationally, Carla caters to all skill levels ensuring that every participant gains valuable insights and techniques. As a co-founder of the Dallas Designing Dreams studio, she has created a vibrant space for creativity and learning, incorporating modern tools and technologies into her diverse range classes.

Rather than simply selling me a bag, he taught me the intricate process of making my own, unlocking a newfound creativity within me. Richard E. Turner, a veteran of United States Air Force and a seasoned pilot for Southwest Airlines, is uniquely qualified to teach Remote Drone class, guiding students on their journey to obtain their drone certification license Recently recognized at Hattiesburg’s African-American Military History Museum, Turner’s remarkable career includes transporting the body of civil rights icon Rosa Parks to Washington, D.C., in 2005. During the unveiling of a temporary exhibit celebrating his contributions, Turner insights about his life and experiences with attendees, marking a special moment during the 55th anniversary reunion of Rowan High School's Class of 196. His dedication to aviation and service continues to inspire future generations.
