

Project Title: Candle Making Program for
Senior Citizens
Overview: This 4-month program aims to empower senior citizens by
teaching them sustainable candle making techniques.
The program will operate on a "paying it forward" model, ensuring its
longevity beyond the initial residency period.
Implementation:
• Training Sessions: One group of 10 senior citizens will participate
in a weekly training session for four weeks. Each session will be
three hours long, conducted two days a week every four weeks for
4- months.
• Knowledge Transfer: The goal is to recruit at least three
participants from each group to become future instructors for the
next round of sessions.
• Creative Expression: Participants will not only learn product-
making skills but also be encourage to collaborate and engage their
creativity in designing labels, creating a logo, developing a slogan,
and devising a marketing plan for a DAL Legacy Product Brand.
Legacy Program:
• Inspiration: The program draws inspiration from the Girl Scouts
Cookie program, aiming to create a sustainable legacy for senior
citizens.
• Skill Development: Participants will gain valuable skills in
product creation, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
• Wisdom Sharing: The program provides a platform for senior
citizens to share their wisdom, knowledge, and experience with
others.
