Sewing. Teaching. Traveling.
Those three words describe the dreams of Designer/Sewing Educator, Carla Robertson. She had no idea that God would use these childhood dreams as a life purpose.

Carla A. Robertson has been sewing for over 30 years and teaching since 1999. Her passion is to see "the light come on" in the mind of her students when they see their dreams come to life. She has seen "the light come on" in the lives of many children and adults in the DFW area.

In 2007, she had the opportunity to travel on a mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya to stay a month working with sewing programs in two slums. The emphasis was teaching women to make small products that could be sold to increase their income. In 2008 and 2009, she traveled on mission trips to Papua New Guinea (2 hours north of Australia). This opportunity allowed Carla to invest her time teaching women to become sewing instructors, so that they could reach out to other women in PNG.
